Support for Parents
Having a child isn’t always easy – 1 in 10 mums get the “baby blues” and dads struggle too. Our family support team can offer practical advice and support to help you and your family. Our services include home visits and support for young parents. Don’t forget you can drop into our children centre at Whipton or call us to find out how you can get help with more serious problems.
Family Support Services
We recognise that bringing up children can be both enjoyable and demanding. There are times when it can be tiring and stressful and family life can have a lot of ups and downs, feeling happy and in control and then sad and not in control. There may be times when you feel that you need a bit of extra support from a family worker.
The Beacon Heath, Heavitree & Polsloe and Whipton Children’s Centres offer a family support service through their family project workers team. The family workers offer a home visiting service to families who would like some extra support and information for families that have at least one child under the age of 5 years.
